Today we had two Police officers visit. Constable Sam and Sergeant Andrea helped us to learn about Secrets, Bribes and Tricks.

Keeping Ourselves Safe
This term we are learning to keep ourselves safe. This week we are trying to keep an egg safe.
Our teacher gave each of us an egg to care for. We have to look after it for four days. Three people have broken their eggs already and Cole's egg has got a brain injury and needs a sticky plaster.
It's really hard looking after something so delicate.

Some Incredible Writing!
We watched the you tube clip about Felix who jumped out of a capsule to break the world record for the fastest and highest sky dive. We wrote how Felix must have felt...
As I looked out of the hatch, I thought "Oh Man, why did I decide to do this!"
I was frozen. Absolutely terrified of what I was about to do.
My helmet was fogging up. I felt horribly sick. I had come this far, but was it enough. Suppose something went wrong.
I pushed that thought out of my mind and...
Jumped!
By Ben Ch
I stepped to the exit.
No... I stepped back.
I breathed heavily. I stepped to the exit one last time and stayed there.
I looked down and saw the desert.
" I believe I can do it." I say to myself over and over again.
I leap.
"Wow I can't believe it I did it! I did it!"
By Jamie
I can't believe there is a possibility that I might die right now. I really regret this. But I might win a world record- which choice should I take?
Goosebumps were crawling all over me.
I'll do it!

Cool, crazy cupcakes.
We are really looking forward to morning tea!
Jack arrived at school this morning with a container full of scrumptious looking cupcakes.
Yesterday Jack went home and baked the recipe that Chelsea wrote for our class cookbook.
He made some very creative decorations for the top.

A Really Early Start
Did you see us on TV? We had an early start this morning so that we could be on the Breakfast show with Tamati. We showed the whole country what to do during an earthquake.

My birthday
On Friday morning I woke up feeling excited because it was my birthday. It took five mins for them to come and finally my family came and they and dumped all my presents on my bed. After school I had my party at the beach. We played beach soccer and ate a soccer cake.
